Business Process Improvement Specialist

ARServices is seeking a Business Process Improvement Specialist to join our team. This professional will provide professional, technical, and administrative support to US Government Project Manager in the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Specifically, the Business Process Specialist will support the R&D Chief as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. The position is primarily located at the ARServices office in Alexandria, VA.

Principal Duties

  • As a functional expert works collaboratively with project teams, end users/stakeholders to understand DLA R&D business objectives and requirements
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of R&D and program management skills to evaluate performance results and make recommended changes to business processes
  • Analyzes processes and re-engineering requirements as they apply to the current and future R&D environment
  • Develop new deliverables as needed based on operational requirements and following best-practices for documentation and delivery
  • Recommend and facilitate quality improvement efforts
  • Interact with government customer to receive and meet requirements, such as briefing materials and briefing templates and technical information requirements as necessary

Daily activities include:

  • Create process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and effectively communicate these changes to the impacted business systems teams
  • Organize data, establish file structures, and ensure information is captured and stored in locations accessible to various user groups
  • Develop reports as required to support operations, write knowledge content as required, and prepare presentations for senior management to support recommended changes, new initiatives or enhancements

Requirements:

  • Must be able to attain at a minimum a SECRET clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a business-related discipline (logistics, industrial engineering, management, economics, or information technology)
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a DoD or Government position in a comparable capacity and role
  • Ability to develop executive-level briefing materials, administrative, and logistics support
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships within teams and across the organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience presenting to multiple audiences (e.g., technical and non-technical, executive-level)
  • Creative thinker; strong analytical and interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications

Previous experience with either working for or supporting DLA
