Supply Technician

ARServices is seeking an experienced Supply Technician to join our team. These professional technicians maintain records of inventory and prepares reports related to the inventory. This position is located at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Utilizes regulations, manuals, catalogs, AMDF, etc., to requisition, receive and issue required and authorized equipment and/or material
  • Receives, reviews and authorizes requests for equipment and other supplies by utilizing knowledge of allowances and further verifies unauthorized requests by requesting justification.
  • Checks availability of items within tool cribs before initiating supply request
  • Receives items, verifies actual material by comparing documents with suspense copy of requisition for information such as national stock number, nomenclature, quantity, etc.
  • Maintains records of inventory, due-in/due-out status, etc.
  • Controls inventories as required and prepares adjustments in records, reports of survey, and additions or deletions to the inventory record maintenance backorder report
  • Makes inquiries regarding status of supply action and transfer or relocation of property
  • Prepares miscellaneous reports as required by established reporting criteria
  • Applies knowledge of the functional capabilities of different software types to select the best software type for each report
  • Based on workload requirements incumbent may be required to perform other supply functions that utilize such data systems as Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS)

Position Requirements

  • Must hold minimum of SECRET security clearance
  • Proficiency with MS Office products to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift and move 40 pounds
  • Ability to operate a forklift and/or mechanical hand truck
  • Experience utilizing Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication
